Neptune’s Keep blogs about fish music

Neptune’s Keep is a very fishy band. Two humans, two goldfish, and a dance troupe of seahorses perform together in a truly astonishing musical partnership. Lilting vocal harmonies drift through sea chanteys, ballads, and original songs about water and the creatures that swim in it, fly over it, or sail upon it. Currents of hammered dulcimer, piano, guitar, and concertina gracefully flow.

And trickling gently through it all, music directly from the water: notes and chords composed and played entirely by fish. Through an amazing blend of art and technology, our musical fish comprise an aquatic orchestra, playing a diverse collection of virtual instruments from electric guitar to jazz bass to orchestral harp. This unprecedented collaboration between human and fish redefines musical beauty!

In this blog, you’ll meet our human and piscine performers. You’ll read about how and why fish make music. You’ll get the latest news from the band – when and where we’re appearing. And you’ll discover that fish have hidden depths!
